Wow! I cant believe its been 7 months since my last post! Sad, I know! Life has been so busy....And I just haven't taken the time to post!

Work is great! I actually just transferred floors this past month! I really LOVE my new floor! I am in the Child Birth Center now, on the post partum side. I care for moms after delivery. I get to go to deliveries and "recover" the babies right after delivery and for c-section moms I can care for them after the PACU nurse is finished recovering them from surgery. It is such an amazing and rewarding job! I love it! I can actually say I love my job and that is the best thing in the world to me and most important!!!! I miss my night crew on Medical floor, but don't miss the demanding patients and HARD work!!! Don't get me wrong, the work on OB is hard and tiring....But it is so different! And of course I can cuddle a new baby at any time and then put it back in its crib and send it to its moms room! :)

Brent is in school full time and doing well....He is on track to apply for the Radiology Tech program in January! I am so happy for him and that he has decided what he wants to do! And I cant wait for him to be done!!! LOL!

Braxton is growing like a weed. We have had to put him in day care since I started on the new floor because I am orienting to the day shift and then will switch to nights after Christmas. He has done well with the change so far, at least the day care part. He has fun playing as far as I can tell, but when asked if he is going to play with the kids he says NO! lol! Braxton is talking more and it is easier to understand! Yay!

Our kitty Bug is doing well. She is big and gets kind of cranky at times with Braxton. He loves to get right up in her face! He loves her though.

Our new addition to our family is a dog...A toy chihuahua named Tinkerbelle. She has been a lot of work since we got her. We bought her from our neighbors mom. They breed them and brought her and 2 others from Far, Texas. Which is an 18 hour drive to get here. She was 6 weeks old and they had weened her from her momma the week before and had been feeding her twice a day since. Well to make a long story short, we picked her up Sunday night and she was lethargic and sick looking. we tried to feed her, but she only ate a little. Anyways, so we woke up Monday morning and and she was worse then before. I tried to feed her again, but she could barely eat. So I called the vet and they told us to bring her in immediately. So we packed up and took her to the vet. They checked her out and her blood sugar was 17....Normal range is 77-120...and hypothermic...low body temp!!! Scary! So they decided they wanted to keep her over night and that she would be in the ICU part of the vet with an IV of D10...Which is sugar water. So she was on that over night and one of the vet techs took her home with her to watch her closely. The next day her blood sugar was high then ok and then "low" ok...So she got to come home. She got a little better, but then the following Sunday she developed and abscess where they had checked her blood. So back to the vet we go....They keep her for a few hours to put a drain in and gave us antibiotics....The very next day...A NEW dog!!! Seriously a totally different dog! Now shes perk,! FUN and happy! She is playful and loves Braxton! He loves her. Anyways so now we are doing better and enjoying our puppy!

Just dropping a line...

So once again it has been a while...I still don't have my own computer...I just haven't taken it in to get it fixed. Well honestly I can't find the software that goes with it. (its in the storage unit!) Oh well!

Well it has been a busy week/weekend...Brent's family lost a good friend, Betty on Tuesday from cancer. I happened to be asked by the nurse caring for her to take in some medication to her and put lotion on her feet on Saturday night. I didn't recognize her "real" name, but she knew who I was as soon as I walked in the door! She asked me to let Judy and Aunt Cheri, Judy's sister, know that she was in the hospital...Which there are laws against...HIPPA...But since she asked me to, I could! They went up and visited Sunday afternoon and she was doing OK. Brent and Judy went up after I had come on shift to see her and she had gone down hill. That evening was a rough one and then Monday day was tough with lots of tests. That evening she had been sent to ICU and died just after midnight Tuesday! I was so thankful that Heavenly Father let me know she was there so Judy, Kevin, Jessica and Brent had a chance to see her, even though she was not at her best, before she passed. She really wanted to see Braxton, but she was receiving chemo therapy, so that was a no go! I had pictures I was going to take to her on Tuesday when I went back, but I didn't get to! We were all very shocked that she had gone so fast (even the doctors)! She was Judy's mom's best friend, they had worked together at the answering service for many years! I found out that another patient that had been on our floor had also worked with them and had passed away from cancer on April 1st.

Shaun, Cheree, Tayla and Mylee came down for Betty's funeral...(Which they didn't have one, just a gathering of friends and family at her house, but it was nice to visit with her family.) They were here for a few days. Braxton had fun playing with the girls, but doesn't understand sharing, so we had some fights.

We had a picnic at Nana and Papa Pruitt's. It was fun! I had a nice talk with Brent's cousin, who I haven't seen in over a year!

Tayla and Mylee were sick...But Shaun and Cheree didn't know it until they got here...So we ALL had a bout of the flu! LOL...Saturday Braxton, Sunday Brent and Monday me! LOL...Shaun and Jessica also had it Sunday and Kevin had it Saturday night too! Lol.

Also we found out bad news about a friend who I had gone to school and worked with, who I have known for the past 5 years....But I am not wasting my time blogging about it! It was a shock and almost like a loss, a loss of the friendship I thought we had.....I'm still in a state of shock! Oh well...life must go on!

Well that's about it for now! I'm tired and have to go chase Braxton! Hopefully some pictures to come in the near future!

It's been a while...

So it has been over 4 months since my last blog. Life has bee been crazy and I have been way to busy to blog. It's tough since I started working nights. I feel like I never catch up on sleep. But I am really enjoying my job and I wouldn't change a thing! I don't feel like I miss out on quite as much working nights as I did in the day time while I was orienting to the floor!
Also, I think my computer has a virus and I need to take it in and get it serviced. I pray I don't loose all my pictures...Because like a dummy I didn't save them to our external hard drive! So right now I am on Brent's laptop since he doesn't have to work on homework tonight!

Just a few updates...First Christmas was wonderful! Braxton was spoiled of course! And it was wonderful being in our "OWN" home...Our for real home!

Second: Brent did a fabulous job in school last semester...His first! And got straight A's! He made the deans list and was asked to join Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society! He is inducted next Wednesday! And he is doing well this semester too!

Third: Braxton is now 20 months old! He is so big! I love this kiddo so much! I can't believe how much he has changed my life!

forth: Our house is FINALLY in our name! As of TODAY and many of long hours trying to get the mortgage company moving! I figured they would drag their feet until we no longer qualified for the home buyer incentive!

Well that's about it for us. I will post pictures at a later date since I have none on this computer! Next week we head to Utah to visit my family! I SOOO can't wait! Both of my little nephews are 1 and Braxy will have so much fun with them!!!
