Tonight Mylee is receiving a blood transfusion. She is not getting enough oxygen to her body with all the bacteria that in her blood. She tested positive for meningitis...We aren't sure if it is bacterial or viral yet...the doctors have a sample of Cerebral Spinal Fluid growing in the lab.
She is still fighting for her little life. Please keep Shaun, Cheree, Mylee and Tayla in your prayers. They can use the extra prayers right now! Thanks!
Sorry these pictures are out of order, but I wanted to post them! These pictures are from Sunday June 22, 2008. We are finally free! Leaving the hospital to go home and be a "real" family...Without the help of all the nurses!!!

The infection that Mylee has is E. choli. It caused the UTI and then went systemic...or into her blood stream. She has gained 3 ounces in 24 hours and is doing a little better. I will let you know when we hear some more news!
Shaun and Cheree's new little one Mylee is not doing very well right now! She has lost more then a pound since she was born. The doctors weren't concerned at first, but they decided this week that they are going to run some extensive tests on her...But they have to go to Twin falls Idaho to do the testing...They live in Burley...not to far...But they wont let Cheree stay with Mylee at the hospital. And they don't know anyone in Twin Falls.
Today they admitted her for malnutrition, dehydration, an infection along with a UTI-urinary tract infection. She is in the NICU and has an IV, fats and something else running...I can't think of it at the moment, sorry!
Cheree has been nursing, but little Mylee is a comfort nurser and will only eat enough to fill her belly and then goes back to sleep. Cheree wakes her up, but she only nurses for a few minutes and then goes back to sleep.
Anyways, I thought I would ask each of you to keep Mylee, Cheree, Shaun and Tayla in your prayers! They could use the extra blessings right now! Thank you! Hope you each have a good day today!

Me right out of recovery...The first time holding my new son!!! I felt really good, but look terrible...I couldn't feel my lower half yet! LOL!! It was weird! I couldn't sit up yet!
Braxton's first dirty diaper...Sorry it's so graphic..LOL...Dad HAD to change it because mom still couldn't sit up very far yet!!! Judy is coaching him through it! He did awesome! We had practiced with disposable diapers, but the hospital uses clothe ones...So that was a great experience for us both!
4 generations of Pruitt boys! Kevin is crying in this picture! It was his first time seeing his new grandson! Judy came up in the morning to be with us right after the c-section. It was nice to have the extra support! She was with Brent and Braxton in the nursery!
The BIG day!!!! It finally came! He arrived at 9:14 am...weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz....length of 19 inches! Brent thought he looked a lot like me....But as the day goes by, he looks like his dad!!!
Here I am at 39 weeks! We are leaving for the hospital...We stayed in Durango, because
we had to be at the hospital at 6 am.

So today was our last "official" appointment as a pregnant couple....Hahaha! It was good. We had an appointment last week but with the doctor that is assisting in the c-section, so he wouldn't do any of the pre-op teaching. He said that he wanted the other doctor to talk to me about even though she already had! Oh well!
So we did our pre-op teaching at the doctors office and then we had to go to the hospital and do all the pre-registration stuff and financial stuff...And we had to put a down payment...On the baby...Or at least that's what Brent and I joke about! It's not as expensive right now as we thought it would be...but The entire bill isn't in yet...So we will see!
I am so proud of myself! I gained only 9 pounds my entire pregnancy and that has been in the last 3 months! I really do feel good! My final uterus measurement is 44 cm...which is HUGE...Yikes! But the doctor says he will be a good size kid....No guess on what his weight will be though!!! Brent's guessing around 7 lbs 2 oz....I'm guessing 7 lbs 8 ounces! We will see! And we both guessed the same length...21 and 1/2 inches....So we will see on Friday!!!
I really can't believe that in 2 days and and some odd hours....Grandma Wright has the count down for us....And we will have him here! Brent and I will be parents! We have been looking forward to this for some time now...But its right around the corner! Wow!
We have to be at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango at 6 am to check in....I am scheduled for 730 am for the c-section...So we will see when he actually arrives! Hahaha! We decided to stay the night in Durango so we don't run the risk of hitting a deer or elk on our way there! Judy is going with us since she has Friday off! Plus Aunt Jessica and Uncle Mankin will be up Friday evening from Albuquerque. And then my mom and Kelly, my little sister, will be here Sunday!
We do have WiFi access at the hospital...from what we understand...So we will post some pictures of our new addition over the weekend! And let you know how things went!
Oh and Kelly and Boden found out what they are having today....But I can't say until she makes the official announcement! Yay! I am SO SO So excited....Visit Kelden, Boden and Butter on my page to get the results!

So today we went to Mercy Regional Medical Center to have our doctor try and turn Braxton. We got there at 7 am and they hooked us up to the fetal monitor and put an IV in. Then they gave me Breathine...to relax my uterus. The doctor cane in and they did an ultrasound to see if he was still breech and he was, so then she gooped my belly up and she proceeded to try and turn him. He would get half way and then pop back to where he was. She then tried to turn him the other way and he did the same thing. So long story short he didn't turn and we are scheduled for a c-section on June 20th. If I go into labor before then they will do a c-section then!
Everything went well and both the baby and I tolerated the aversion without any problems. And Braxton has been so active ALL day! Its crazy...He started at 2:30 this morning and played for an hour and a half. Then while we were at the hospital he played and kicked and pushed at the monitors. It was funny!
I still can't believe the feelings I have already for this little person I haven't even met yet! Brent can't wait until he comes too! He tells him everyday to come out so they can play! We both are so eager to meet him, see him and to hold him and to begin the life as parents! Only 2 more weeks! I think we will make it!

OK...So some of you may have already heard...He is still breech and my fluid is a little low. Not low enough to be of a concern, but my doctor wants to try and turn him and low fluid might make it a bit difficult! Also be cause he is my first it might not work! So here is the plan...Monday June 9Th at 7 am we will be be admitted to the Family Birth Center in Durango and they will hook us up to the fetal monitors and and watch Braxton and also put in an IV to give me some medication to relax my smooth muscles (uterus especially). Then they will do another ultrasound to see what position he is in and then the doctor will try and turn him. She seemed pretty positive about it, but warned us that this procedure could end in an emergency c-section. But she will be there and can make that call!
So here is what we know...If the aversion is successful and her turns to be head down, then we get to progress through the pregnancy and go into labor on our own. But if it is unsuccessful and he doesn't turn, then we schedule a c-section for the following week....We are talking about Monday June 16Th. If we run into ANY problems...Which there are several that can happen, then we will have an emergency c-section on the 9Th. So we are playing the waiting game for now!!!
I will let you all know what happens Monday...Unless I have an emergency c-section that day...Then it will be a few days! But I will try to keep you all up to date! Have a great day!
Welcome to Mylee Janae Pruitt! She is Shaun and Cheree's second daughter and she was definitely in a rush to get here! She came at 36 weeks! Cheree had been having problems during her pregnancy with high blood pressure and Pre-eclampsia... She had been in labor with Mylee for about a month and a half. Her doctors put her on medication and bed rest to try and stop the progression and she also had bi-weekly stress tests to make sure little Mylee was ok! Anyways, to make a long story short, Cheree went for her stress test Monday and was dilated to 4 cm, was 80% effaced and was having strong contractions. They admitted her, but a few hours later the contractions stopped and they sent her home. She returned later that night and Mylee was born! She is an itty bitty thing and I think she looks a lot like her mommy! She was born June 2, 2008 at 11:19 pm and weighed in at 5 pounds and 6 ounces and measured 17.5 inches long! She is going to be a petite little one like her big sister Tayla! Hope you all enjoy the pictures I have put up! Shaun is so thrilled to have another girl! He is such a cute dad! Congratulations to their cute little family! We are thrilled for you all and cant wait to meet her!
Also a little note on Braxton...He and Mylee seem to have a connection...I'm not sure if Cheree noticed it, but I sure did! Every time we (Brent, myself, Kevin and Judy or anyone else) talked about Mylee and how she and Cheree were doing and some of the growing concerns for Cheree's health, little Braxton would get really active and if I mention Mylee's name he will kick...Even now! It is kind of interesting to me....I know they decided to come here together and grow up together! Its fun to have them be close in age! I hope they will have that connection as they get older!

Baby Braxton has been breach at our last 2 appointments. Thursday we have an ultrasound to see what position he is now...I am hoping he is head down. If he isn't the doctor wants to try an external eversion and if that doesn't work...which its only a 50% chance of it working and him staying that way...then we will have a c-section. So we will have to wait until Thursday to find out!
Here is a picture of me at 36 weeks! People are surprised when I tell them I have 4 or so weeks left! I just have to laugh! I am proud of myself for not putting on too much weight! Not that I am trying not to gain...I just haven't...But I am thinking he will be huge!
