He LOVES bowling!!!
Wow! I cant believe its been 7 months since my last post! Sad, I know! Life has been so busy....And I just haven't taken the time to post!
Work is great! I actually just transferred floors this past month! I really LOVE my new floor! I am in the Child Birth Center now, on the post partum side. I care for moms after delivery. I get to go to deliveries and "recover" the babies right after delivery and for c-section moms I can care for them after the PACU nurse is finished recovering them from surgery. It is such an amazing and rewarding job! I love it! I can actually say I love my job and that is the best thing in the world to me and most important!!!! I miss my night crew on Medical floor, but don't miss the demanding patients and HARD work!!! Don't get me wrong, the work on OB is hard and tiring....But it is so different! And of course I can cuddle a new baby at any time and then put it back in its crib and send it to its moms room! :)
Brent is in school full time and doing well....He is on track to apply for the Radiology Tech program in January! I am so happy for him and that he has decided what he wants to do! And I cant wait for him to be done!!! LOL!
Braxton is growing like a weed. We have had to put him in day care since I started on the new floor because I am orienting to the day shift and then will switch to nights after Christmas. He has done well with the change so far, at least the day care part. He has fun playing as far as I can tell, but when asked if he is going to play with the kids he says NO! lol! Braxton is talking more and it is easier to understand! Yay!
Our kitty Bug is doing well. She is big and gets kind of cranky at times with Braxton. He loves to get right up in her face! He loves her though.
Our new addition to our family is a dog...A toy chihuahua named Tinkerbelle. She has been a lot of work since we got her. We bought her from our neighbors mom. They breed them and brought her and 2 others from Far, Texas. Which is an 18 hour drive to get here. She was 6 weeks old and they had weened her from her momma the week before and had been feeding her twice a day since. Well to make a long story short, we picked her up Sunday night and she was lethargic and sick looking. we tried to feed her, but she only ate a little. Anyways, so we woke up Monday morning and and she was worse then before. I tried to feed her again, but she could barely eat. So I called the vet and they told us to bring her in immediately. So we packed up and took her to the vet. They checked her out and her blood sugar was 17....Normal range is 77-120...and hypothermic...low body temp!!! Scary! So they decided they wanted to keep her over night and that she would be in the ICU part of the vet with an IV of D10...Which is sugar water. So she was on that over night and one of the vet techs took her home with her to watch her closely. The next day her blood sugar was high then ok and then "low" ok...So she got to come home. She got a little better, but then the following Sunday she developed and abscess where they had checked her blood. So back to the vet we go....They keep her for a few hours to put a drain in and gave us antibiotics....The very next day...A NEW dog!!! Seriously a totally different dog! Now shes perk,! FUN and happy! She is playful and loves Braxton! He loves her. Anyways so now we are doing better and enjoying our puppy!
