Out of town...

I am out of town for the next 10 days or so! I wont have pictures to post til I get back!

Happy Birthday...and good news!

I want to wish my brother in laws Shaun and Boden and my cousin Tukar each a very happy birthday today! I am so glad that you each are a part of our lives! We love you!

Also, some of you may know that Brent had a CT scan of his head and neck last week (May 6th) and today we got the results...I am happy to say that nothing serious showed on it! He is in the clear. The lump in his neck REALLY was just a lymph gland that was inflamed! So I am happy to pass on the good news!

A heavy heart..

As I sit here with tear stained cheeks, I thank my Heavenly Father for the many blessings I have! I thank him for the wonderful family I have. For my wonderful parents have supported me through every part of my life...good and bad! I'm so grateful for my wonderful husband who has made a better person and for our sweet baby boy! I am grateful for the wonderful siblings I have been blessed with and for the spouses that they have chosen! And I am grateful for the nieces and nephews that have come from those relationships!
I am grateful for my health. I am grateful for the healthy pregnancy I had with Braxton and for the arrival of a healthy baby!

Please keep a prayer in your hearts for my cousin Laeci and her husband Jared and their sweet new baby Cooper, who was born a healthy 6 pounds 2 ounces and 19 inches on May 4th, but soon took a turn for the worse. He has a narrowing in his colon and when the first stool passed through it, the colon tore. He has been at Primary Children's Medical Center since Wednesday May 6th, when he had to have major surgery to take out the "bad" part of his colon and make a colostomy (an opening to the outside of the body through the abdomen for fecal matter to exit) until he is healthy enough to have it reconnected...And if it is possible to reconnect it. He was also diagnosed with Hirschsprung's disease. The good news is that he does have nerves all the way down into his sacrum, which means he has nerves to his colon. They think that he might not have them to his rectum though. He also may be going home at the end of the week...Which I am hopeful for so I can see him when I go up! If not I will have to go with them to the hospital!

Also, Please keep a prayer in your heart for the Freeman family, who let their sweet baby Kayleigh return home to her Father in heaven after a valiant fight her on earth! Walking..

Here it is....Yes he is WALKING! I know some of you have seen the other one, but I find this one really cute! I have to laugh because he has to hold his belly button with one hand and the other is up in the air...Kind of reminds me of a bull rider! LOL! I hope you enjoy his craziness as much as I do! :)

And the results are in....

I took my NCLEX-RN on Monday and I got my results...Unofficial results...And I PASSED!!! I am officially a licenced nurse!....Licence to come in the mail with in the next 4 weeks! I am so gratefully for my wonderful husband, who has put up with me in this very trying time....And who has been such a great sport about everything from me teaching him, practicing on him and so on! I am so grateful for my wonderful parents who backed me, supported my decision and cheered me on...And for my dad "pushing" me to get back at it...meaning school 5 years ago! Thank you to all my wonderful extended family who believed in me and told me I could do it! I am grateful to all my wonderful friends who also helped me, guided me, cried with me, and were there to cheer me on when I crossed the "finish" line! I love and appreciate each of you who have supported me! Thank you!

Also just thought I would share a comment made to me today from one of the instructors...actually the director of the program now...And I quote..."I'm surprised you passed since you waited so long"....I graduated 1 year ago on the 10th of May! I said' "well that is what worked best for me and I guess it paid off!" Oh well...water under the bridge and hey I passed!!!

Our trip to Albuquerque

We went to Albuquerque on Saturday and stayed until Monday! I was scheduled to take my NCLEX-RN exam and Albuquerque is the nearest location for me to take it at! So we went down Saturday, had some yummy food...We ate at Genghis Grill, Panda express (Brent's favorite), Olive Garden and then Furr's...I like the Furr's in Albuquerque better then Farm town, because you can dish it yourself! LOL!

We shopped and played and had a lot of fun! It was actually quite relaxing! I didn't get nervous until Monday morning! I had to be at the testing center at 730 am and my test started at 8. I was done by 9:02! I had 75 questions....But I am more nervous now waiting on my results! LOL! I just pray I passed! I don't want to have to go through that again! I feel like I was neglecting my child...I could tell towards the end of this last week, while I was hitting the books harder then before, that Braxy was feeling like I wasn't paying enough attention to him! And that makes me so sad! After my test, we went to the zoo! Our first time together (me and Brent) and Braxys first time too! We went into the rain forest exhibit first and Braxy started freaking out....And I thought "oh no. this is going to be rough!" As soon as we gt out of there he was fine and actually really enjoyed it! He talked to all the animals. SOOO CUTE! But its so funny because he was so amazed by none other then the giraffes! He watched the male walk back and forth and would not take his eyes off him! So funny! Anyways, so here are pictures from our trip! Enjoy!

This is a Lobo...A wolf...I never knew what a Lobo was...so I thought I would share with those of you who didn't know either....

These were the cutest! Mommy and baby howler monkeys! The baby is a boy and was so cute! He was showing off...He went up and kissed his momma and then went back down and fell off! It was funny! We watched these guys almost as long as we did the giraffes!

So cool! I think there were 3 of these in this exhibit!

We got to watch this elephant do tricks! It was really cool! This is Rosie's mom and Grandma to the soon to be baby! She is the matriarch of the herd! We also learned that if Rosie's baby is a girl she will stay with the herd at the zoo. But if it is a boy, he will stay for 9 to 10 years and then be moved to a different zoo for breeding! I thought that was cool!

This is Bones new favorite thing to do...Put stuff on his head! He puts EVERYTHING on his head! Crazy Bones! Look at all his teeth! (really not that many...just 5)!

And our newest trick.....Walking! He loved the room we stayed in and got really good at crossing from hard floor to soft floor...He did it over and over and over....So entertaining I guess!
