Its been a while....

So it has been quite some time since my last post. Forgive me! Life has become really busy! I am now on my own as a nurse! So awesome, yet really scary and intense at times! In my second week on my own I had to call the rapid response team for a morphine overdose and had to give D50 to a patient who's blood sugar dropped below 40. Scary...Yes! Intense...Very! But I am loving all the experiences I am having!
Next....We have purchased a double wide trailer. Its been a long, tough, trying of my patients, past 3 months....But we are almost to the end! It is finally on the location we have chosen and the electric and water are hooked up. Tomorrow...well today I guess...they are coming to hook up the propane. Then the contractor can come in and finish the stuff that needs to be done inside. I am excited to have a place of my own finally to share with my little family! Its perfect for us for now! So between work and getting the house ready to move into....We have been pretty busy!

This is our anniversary cactus (Christmas cactus)...We got it when we got married from Brent's boss Ramona! It blooms around our anniversary, hence the anniversary cactus name! Anyways it bloomed a little early this year, but hey it bloomed! :)

Oh my...Its been over a month!

Well life has gotten a bit crazy......I started my job at the hospital and I am loving it! Ive had some pretty difficult patients...difficult in many ways.....Ugh! We will leave it at that! But I will not complain, because they are forming my future and how I deal with other patients! Even though it has been difficult, I look at these experiences as good ones!

Last weekend we buried Brent's grandma....Judy's mom. She died in January 2008 in Texas and we cremated her. Aunt Cheri kept her ashes at her house. She decided about a month or so ago that grandma wanted to be buried by her mom. So aunt Cheri came and was here over the weekend! Braxton just loved her! It was so fun to see him warm up to her so quickly...especially since this was the first time he had ever met her! They had a great time together! I unfortunately had to work and missed all the fun. But such is life!

Please say a quick prayer for this sweet boy!

I have been following this blog for a while and have asked for your prayers for them before! Stellan is once again in need of prayers! He is really sick and needs all of the help he can get! Take a moment now and pray the doctors can figure out what to do for him! Thank you!

A quick trip to the emergancy room....

So we had an eventful day Sunday....Since church doesn't start until noon...we played about that morning. Well Mr. smarty pants Bones has started climbing on everything...So at about 10 he was playing on his new little train and fell and bit his bottom lip....Uhg...Who knew! Well it wasn't to bad and the bleeding stopped pretty quick, so we didn't have to take him to the ER.

Well we went to sacrament meeting and left after that since Braxy was so grumpy and throwing fits. So we came home and instead of putting him down for a nap I let him play a little to wear himself out. He was playing in the living room which has wood flooring and there is a pellet stove in there too. Around the stove is tile and there is a wood "pad" (as Brent calls it) around the tile...Well that is what Braxy fell and hit his little lip on! There are a few little blood stains on the wood pad since it was not finished....Oh well! So we ended up with 3 stitches in his right upper lip! The nurse that cared for us said they were running a special on lips that day...Sad!

So we picked this great crib and got it from all the 'gang' for our baby shower! I really liked that it had a changing table and dresser attached and converted to a toddler/day bed and ten to a full size bed with a matching night stand/dresser.....

Well it was included in the HUGE recall....

I was pretty disappointed....

Wonderful news....

So I wrote the previous post and within an hour my future boss called and offered me the position I interviewed for at the hospital! AND OF COURSE I ACCEPTED IMMEDIATELY!!! I am so excited to get started in the wonderful world of nursing.....(Not breast feeding....Been there for over a year now)....But my life calling as a person who helps others! It has been my dream since I was little....I have always wanted to be a nurse....Although I have strayed from that path in my college years, looking to do other things....like teaching or accounting......But I was always drawn back to the nurse profession!

I will be working on the medical floor, nights. That is 3 shifts a week. I'm hoping to get Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so I can sleep and Daddy Bones (DB) will be home with Baby Bones!

I have some major fears....I know they will come with the job...(like all the training, making mistakes or a patient dying on me)....But I am SOOO ready to begin this new journey!

Its kind of fun to think about DB being the stay at home dad with Baby Bones! They have had so much fun together since DB was laid off!

DB will be starting school Fall semester and is quite nervous...But he will do well! He says its going to take him 12 years and I tell him "No..I will not allow you to take that long!" LOL!

Well it looks like things are starting to head the right direction...I keep praying things will look up for us and that I will not dwell on the 'what ifs' or 'its not fairs' that I let creep their ways into my mind! I also pray that I will not 'compare' myself or our situation to others and that I will be satisfied with what we have for now and the blessings that Heavenly Father has blessed us with! This may not be my dream situation, but I am so grateful for my family and all they do for DB, Bones and myself! With out them I don't know what would have happened to us!

Slacking on blogging...

Its been pretty busy around here the past few weeks. With the 4th of July holiday and yard sales and getting ready for the yard sale.....And Brent was laid off....

So we've been job hunting...I applied for every position at the hospital, but unfortunately that has not worked out yet....I still have yet to hear about the medical floor position I applied for....

Braxy is doing well. He has both bottom 1 year molars trying to break through....The have...but not all the way! He has had a low grade fever for the past 6 weeks....Uhg....He is so whiny and grumpy.....I can't wait for them to be in.....

Our crib was in the huge crib recall, so we had to take it apart and get a new one. The problem is...We had parts in the storage unit....good luck finding them...LOL...We found one part and then went yesterday and I found the toddler bed rails....So we took the crib back to T***** and attempted to buy a new one.....Well we had 2 people helping us at the display and they were arguing with each other and they called each crib number to the back room and the person in the back room said there were no cribs....Well I needed a crib NOW...not next week when their load comes and they had refunded our money with a gift card. So we went back to the service desk to see if they could give us cash for it so we could go across the street to their competitor (W**-M***) and they said no...So we talked to the manager. Well she was awesome and went and looked in the back and found 3 different cribs....and one of them was the one we really wanted! Yay! So he has a bed again! Oh and our playpen if the FP rainforest one and it did in fact collapse on us one time while Bones was playing in it! kind of scary! But we haven't had any problems since! I have the stuff ready to send back to the company....I had to cut all the side panels out of the playpen....I guess to make it unusable! Well that's it for now....I will post pictures later.

Look at this sweet boy....Bubba, Butter, bat boy.....Cason is the same size as Bones...Actually he is bigger! He is around 23 pounds and about 28 to 30 inches tall (Braxy is 30 inches tall and 20 pounds)! Ya, he wears 18 month clothes and is 5 months younger then Bones! Crazy!
