Braxton was 9days old when he took his first road trip...it was a little rough!

Nanny was at the hospital before Braxton was born and spent the day with us! It was nice to have her there with us!

Poppy came up after work to see his first grandson. Great Nana and Papa drove up to Durango with him to see us!

**Nanny and Poppy are what Shaun and Cheree's little girl Tayla calls them...So it has stuck! **

2 week check up!!!

We went for our 2 week check up yesterday! That was pretty exciting...I was eager to find out how much he had grown!
The cute nurse took him and as she assessed him, she undressed him and he didn't even cry! He did so well until it was time to leave...In which he decided he was hungry...He made it home and then ate! Haha!
Braxton was 8 lbs 7 oz and 19 inches long at birth and when we went to the doctors office when he was 4 days old, he weighed 7 lbs 8 oz...He had lost 15 oz. But he had grown 1/2 an inch! Yesterday he weighed in at 9 lbs 11 oz and was 21 and 1/2 inches long! Yay!
I had some concerns about my little guy, but the doctor said they were all perfectly normal for a new baby to have and that he would grow out of them! (Gas to the point it seems he is giving birth, spit up, diaper rash...etc) But the doctor said he looked great and is a healthy little guy. He checked his hips...as they will at every appointment because he was breech. And at 4-5 months they will do an x-ray to make sure they are properly aligned and normal. Breech babies tend to have hip problems!
Anyways so that's our update for now!

This is my July 3rd outfit...Here in Farmington our fireworks display goes off on the 3rd...I have a 4th of July outfit too...But mommy didn't take a picture of me in it yet...So be patient and she will! My Nanny Pruitt brought me this outfit the day I was born. Her and my daddy went to lunch while me and mommy recovered and bonded!

"Chicks Dig Me"!!! Daddy picked this one out! I have a matching bib, but I up-chucked on it!

Ok...Don't laugh at me...This outfit is over 31 years old! My grandma Wright worked for a company called Jolene's and they made really cute outfits...At least my mommy thinks so! My uncle Jeremy wore this when he was a baby!!!...Ok, so I do look pretty good in it...But then I peed and my diaper leaked so I didn't wear it for very long...Hahaha!

Ok MOM!!! I am done playing dress up with you! ENOUGH Already!

These are the coolest scrubs...They are still really big on me...But My Aunt Pat and cousin Leesa gave these to me at my baby shower before I was born! ...My mommy's a nurse...So I needed some cool scrubs too!!!

Here is our little peanut...He is growing like a little weed! I am trying to enjoy every moment I can while he is this little and just take it all in!

He likes his swing!!!!

But he doesn't like the tray part and he will kick at it! Its funny to watch him!

It is so amazing to watch Brent as he grows each day as a new daddy! I am amazed at how wonderful he has done with caring for our son with the little experience he had! He is absolutely a wonderful father and husband! I am SO lucky!

Another update on Mylee...

Tonight Mylee is receiving a blood transfusion. She is not getting enough oxygen to her body with all the bacteria that in her blood. She tested positive for meningitis...We aren't sure if it is bacterial or viral yet...the doctors have a sample of Cerebral Spinal Fluid growing in the lab.
She is still fighting for her little life. Please keep Shaun, Cheree, Mylee and Tayla in your prayers. They can use the extra prayers right now! Thanks!

Leaving the Hospital...

Sorry these pictures are out of order, but I wanted to post them! These pictures are from Sunday June 22, 2008. We are finally free! Leaving the hospital to go home and be a "real" family...Without the help of all the nurses!!!

Mylee update

The infection that Mylee has is E. choli. It caused the UTI and then went systemic...or into her blood stream. She has gained 3 ounces in 24 hours and is doing a little better. I will let you know when we hear some more news!

Update on Mylee Janae..

Shaun and Cheree's new little one Mylee is not doing very well right now! She has lost more then a pound since she was born. The doctors weren't concerned at first, but they decided this week that they are going to run some extensive tests on her...But they have to go to Twin falls Idaho to do the testing...They live in Burley...not to far...But they wont let Cheree stay with Mylee at the hospital. And they don't know anyone in Twin Falls.
Today they admitted her for malnutrition, dehydration, an infection along with a UTI-urinary tract infection. She is in the NICU and has an IV, fats and something else running...I can't think of it at the moment, sorry!
Cheree has been nursing, but little Mylee is a comfort nurser and will only eat enough to fill her belly and then goes back to sleep. Cheree wakes her up, but she only nurses for a few minutes and then goes back to sleep.
Anyways, I thought I would ask each of you to keep Mylee, Cheree, Shaun and Tayla in your prayers! They could use the extra blessings right now! Thank you! Hope you each have a good day today!
