The update on Brent's knee injury!

So Brent had an MRI on Monday and then had a follow up appointment that afternoon. We found out he has torn the medial meniscus and his right knee and also torn the lateral patellar ligament. He has been referred to an orthopedic specialist and we are waiting for Reliance to call and give us the time for the appointment. He has been taken completely out of work to rest his knee and help the swelling to go down. He will have to have surgery, but we don't know when yet...So I will have to let you know when we find out!
Also an update on Kevin's injury...He had to have another xray on Monday and will find out this afternoon what the results are and he too may possibly need surgery. The joys of life.
Brent and I are moving in with Kevin and Judy, because we live in a basement apartment at the moment and there are too many stairs for him to go up and down. The funny part about that is that I am pregnant, Brent has an injured knee, and Kevin has an injured hand! Ha ha...So who is going to help us move you are wondering....Yeah I have been too....But The 7th ward Elders quorum will be helping us! We are lucky for that! I am about half way packed up...Between school and taking care of Brent...I don't get much done! Oh well!
Some other fun news....Brent can feel the baby now! So that has been really exciting! The first time he felt the baby was on Sunday night....It was very faint kicks, he said it felt like a heart beat, but it was irregular little kicks! Then Monday night, the baby decided to present its hind end to us! It was balled up on my left side and rubbed its bottom against our hands...Or at least that is what I think it was....We had a good laugh about that! So that is all for now! Still Don't know!...Anything!!!

So I had my gallbladder ultrasound this morning. Everything went as well as can be expected. The radiologist won't read them for 2 business days....And I probably won't know anything until my February 4th doctors appointment unless something is really wrong with it! We didn't get to peak at the baby, so I was kind of sad...But oh well!
The Brent front...
So we are still waiting on the Workman's comp insurance to approve an MRI for Brent's knee....He is really getting stressed about, as am I! Hopefully he isn't doing more damage to his knee while he waits. He is on crutches and has an "immobilizer" brace on...I'm not so sure it is an immobilizer as much as a stabilizer! I know that might not make sense...But an immobilizer is something that would prevent him from bending his knee, but this brace allows him to bend his knee. So I am not so sure that is helping. But what do I know...Oh well!!! So I will update when we do find out about the MRI and anything else new!

And I almost forgot...

Kevin finally got a call back from the emergency room and his xrays had been read....
He has 3 fractures in his left hand and has to see the specialist! So here is the update on the accident from last week!

They say it comes in 3's....

Well the past week was a tough one...But we made it through! Everyone says that problems come in threes and we have been waiting for the the third problem to come!
First was the passing of Judy's mom on January 7th.
Second was Kevin wrecking the car on January 8th.
We have been, in a way holding our breaths waiting for the shoe to drop. It finally did on Monday January 14th. Brent was at work and about 15 feet up on top of a unit in the oil field, fixing a turbo and his right knee became dislocated. He was stuck and couldn't get down. Finally he did and they sent him home. His knee swelled up immediately, but he wanted me to look at it and make the decision whether to go to Reliance or not. When he got home his knee was twice the size of the other one and bruised already. So he changed into some short (he was worried they might cut his under armour off...Under armour is like long johns, but used by athletes and it is really expensive.) Anyways...So he wanted to change and we struggled with that task! Haha!
We made it to Reliance and he had xrays...then they put him in a brace and on crutches. They are making him an appointment to have an MRI and maybe even to see a specialist! Yikes...So not only do I have to stress about school and my pregnancy and my ultrasound on my gallbladder, but now I have to worry about Brent and his knee!
His knee is still pretty swollen today and he has had it up most of the day as well as putting ice packs on it....But I haven't seen any change! I will let you know what happens with him and hi knee!

Our Doctors visit!

So we rescheduled our appointment for Friday and we made it safely! We finally got to hear the baby's heart beat! That was way exciting! At first the doctor couldn't find it and I started to get nervous, but the baby was hiding low on my left side! :)
Then we got to schedule our 20 wees ultrasound and our 20 week appointment for February 4th! Hopefully the baby will co-operate so we can find out what it will be! :) I also have to do the glucose tolerance test that day...Yucky...I hear it is pretty gross stuff to drink! Oh well!
Also the doctor scheduled me an ultrasound for my gallbladder since I have been sick for over three weeks. She thinks that I am having some problems with it and that might be the cause of my stomach pain and nausea and vomiting! It has gotten worse in the past few weeks! I hope they can figure it out, because this is no fun...Especially since school just started and it is my last semester! So there is the update and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Going to the doctor...Maybe???

So yesterday Brent and I were supposed to leave for Cuba to pick up Judy early in the morning. She flew in at 8 am from Texas where she had been since January 3rd. She went to be with her sister so they could turn off the life support which Maralee, Judy and Cheri's mom, had been on for almost 4 weeks. Grandma passed on Monday January 7th and Judy was ready to get home and plan the memorial service.

Anyways, so Kevin called us yesterday morning and said he felt he needed to go and get mom in Cuba and he was going to wait until it warmed up since it had snowed the night before. He left at about noon and a little after 1 pm as we were getting ready to head to Durango for our doctors appointment we received a call from Judy saying Kevin was upside down outside of Lybrook....Yes upside down! He wrecked the Prius! He is OK...He has an injured hand...Our lovely ER doctors could not tell him if it was broken or not so he has to go see his family doctor today! He is lucky to be alive and we count our blessings, because that could have been Brent and I! Too scary!

Anyways, so we cancelled our appointment and re-scheduled for Friday...So I will have to update again then! We drove to the accident site and waited for Jessica and Judy to get to us and Kevin was transported by ambulance to San Juan Regional.

Heavenly Father works in mysterious ways! We are grateful for our many blessings! And that Kevin is OK!

Hayden's Birthday!

My birthday was on January 3rd. I was sick all day and my cute husband got off work early to take me to dinner. I wasn't really up for it! Brent said you better get ready or I am going to take you in your pj's! So I got ready and we went to Pizza Hut since that is what I was craving. After dinner we stopped at Smith's and bought a cake and came home and had cake and a glass of milk! It was really cute and I enjoyed the time we spent together!

We opened our presents Christmas Eve, because we had to be to mom and dad Pruitt's house at 7 am to open presents! Brent was very spoiled this year! He got a PlayStation 3 for Christmas and a couple of games! He was so excited because I had told him I had to get a rain check for it because they were sold out! Hehe!

Here is the Christmas tree before we opened presents! Most of the presents are in the back of the tree, because they need to go to Utah in March! We will celebrate then with my family! (Kelly here is your present!!! Do you like it? I hope so! It turned out awesome! [The Timpview uniform])

Going on a picnic...

This is our spider that came to picnic with us! He was huge. He is eating a piece of chicken! Of course Brent spotted him and he hates spides!

Here are some deer that we saw! It was so cool we could hear them communicating! I had never heard that before! There were about 15 to 20 deer that we saw in this one area! They stood on the side of the road and we stopped and listened to them.

Mom and dad Pruitt at the lake! This was right before our trip to Utah/Idaho for Thanksgiving! It was actually pretty warm that day for being the middle of November!

Brent and Hayden at Brent's "secret" location by Navajo Dam. He worked out here by this part of the lake and wanted to take us on a picnic here! We had so much fun!
